Booking Process
Sample Edit
A sample edit is not required but highly recommended to check our compatibility. It's important for my editing style to work well with your style of writing, and this is a great way to discover that. It also helps determine the level of editing you'll require.
Sample edits are free.

Sample edit requirements:
2,000 words from the manuscript you want edited.
Word document, double-spaced.

Booking An Appointment
A $50.00 non-refundable deposit is required on the day we schedule an appointment to secure your spot. This deposit will go towards the overall cost of the service.
If, for any reason, you need to cancel your appointment with Raven Quill Editing, LLC, you will lose your deposit. Rescheduling once is acceptable and your deposit will carry over, but any more than that may result in an additional fee — 25% of estimated total.

To help manage Raven's schedule, they kindly ask for at least two weeks' notice for any changes to your scheduled appointment with Raven Quill Editing, LLC.

Upon scheduling with Raven Quill Editing, LLC, an in-depth Terms and Conditions document will be sent to the email you provided.
Payment
Payment is only accepted through PayPal. An invoice requiring the first half of payment will be sent through PayPal upon receiving the manuscript, and again when the editing is finished for the remainder of the bill.
The option to pay in full is also available.

Since editing can be costly, Raven understands it may be a lot to pay in two payments or in full. Payment plans are now offered to reduce financial stress.
The total cost will be divided into four payments via PayPal invoices, due every two weeks until fully paid off. There will be no interest added to total cost if client chooses this course of action.
If all work is completed, but final payment is not made in a timely manner, Raven Quill Editing, LLC reserves the right to withhold the manuscript until final payment is received. No exceptions will be made unless the author has contacted Raven beforehand to make other payment arrangements.
Non-Disclosure Agreement
Raven Quill Editing, LLC will not disclose any of the ideas, information, Word documents, and
the completed manuscript to any third party without specific written permission and direction
from the author.

A more in-depth PDF of this NDA will be emailed to the author on the day of booking the appointment.
Acknowledgement
The author agrees to credit Raven Quill Editing, LLC as the editor in their ebook and/or printed published work on the copyright page.
If you put out a paperback, I would love to discuss a way of obtaining a signed copy for my library to celebrate your hard work, as well as mine! It is my custom to always purchase the e-book copy of your book.
Additional Notes
If for any reason the author is not satisfied with the work done by Raven Quill Editing, LLC, the author agrees, before seeking reimbursement, to contact Raven Quill by email at ravenquillediting@gmail.com or through direct messaging on Facebook/Instagram with the reasons for the dissatisfaction within ten (10) calendar days of receiving the final manuscript. Raven Quill Editing, LLC and the author agree to make reasonable efforts to reach a satisfactory resolution through a re-edit or reassessment of the original work submitted by the author.
Raven Quill Editing, LLC reserves the right to refuse any book for any reason. Editing completed with Raven Quill Editing, LLC is not a guarantee that your manuscript will be published or accepted for publication.
